GIC Exam Eligibility 2022

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree graduates with an average of at least 60% in all semesters, ( general & OBC 55 % for SC/ST candidates).
  • The graduation/post-graduation subject differs depending on the stream for which the candidate is applying.
  • A candidate must be an Indian citizen, a Nepalese or Bhutanese subject, a Tibetan refugee, or a person of Indian ancestry.
  • An applicant should be between the ages of 21 and 30.
  • On or before February 1, 2021, the candidate needs to complete all educational requirements.

GIC Exam Pattern

GIC Assistant Managers are hired in two stages:

Online written exam

  1. Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the written exam, which will be followed by a group discussion and an interview.
  2. Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, and Computer Literacy are the subjects from which questions are frequently posed in GIC exams.
  3. The written exam carried a 150-point weighting.
  4. In Objective Papers, the question will receive a negative marking of 0.25 points.
  5. All tests are conducted in both English & Hindi except Hindi Officer test.

Personal interview

Candidates who pass the written exam are invited to participate in a Group Discussion (GD) and an interview round. The interview will be used to assess the candidate’s professional knowledge and important skills. The candidate will be reviewed by a group of board members in an offline format.The GD and interview rounds are worth 50 points each.

Selection Process for GIC Assistant Managers in 2022

Two online examinations are followed by a Group Discussion and an interview in the selection process. There will be a total of 200 points for the Written Test, Group Discussion, and Interview. Candidates for the next round are filtered at each stage.

Minimum qualifying marks for the online test are :

  • 60% for general candidates
  • 50% for SC/ST candidates.

For the entire selection process, there are minimum qualifying marks (online test, GD, and Interview)

60 % for general & OBC

50% for SC/ST.
